Getting to Know You

Adopting from a shelter can be an incredible experience in both sadness and joy. Sad that so many animals are unwanted, even purposefully discarded when they become "inconvenient". Joy when you and your new cat (or dog!) find each other and agree to become family.

Can you believe we went out and rescued yet another cat from the shelter? Jennifur is a young (born on July 4, 2000!), beautiful torbie (tortoiseshell tabby) female who is kind of shy and hides often, but when she comes out she is very affectionate.

Our first family cat has officially been named Panther because he looks like a miniature panther (even our vet says so!).
