A. While the lion is lyin' around, the cheetah can cheat off his paper! After some family brainstorming, we created some new terms based on our favorite (?) cat behavior. - Feline Frenzy – a song and dance performed when a favorite food is not placed on the floor fast enough.
- Feline Saunter – Tail in the air, seen when greeting a friend.
- Cat Trot – used to reserve a cat’s place for food or grooming.
- Feline Hip Hop – I claim my perch at the window.
- Cat Swat – cat on chair lunges at cat on floor.
- Ball Room Dancing – two cats in a fight, in a snarling ball of fur, up and over the furniture.
- Furry Tarantella – cat chasing the scurrying spider.
For multiple cat households only... - A cozy of cats – when two or more cats snuggle up in a blanket
- An accumulation of cats – happens when you open their food cupboard
- A cumulus of cats – cats using each other as pillows
- A cache of kittens – kittens snuggled together
- A fortitude of felines – multiple cats greeting you at the door en masse
- A mewling of kittens -- Mommy! Where’s our milk?!
- A cacophony of cats – backyard fight between toms
