Last week, Susan caught three kittens that a young (only about 7 months old!) cat, who was dumped in our area by so-called “well-meaning folks”, had in our back yard a few weeks ago:
Due to their incredible cuteness (click the pics below), they were all adopted almost immediately, and this by experienced foster volunteers who see cute kittens all the time! The fellow at the rescue group also commented on how healthy they are, no surprise since we’ve been feeding their mom all kinds of special canned food with gobs of powdered miracle weaning formula mixed in.
There’s still one kitten out there, plus the mother, but I suspect we’ll catch them this week. Here’s Susan trying (OK, not too hard):
Aurum Leaves Us
Unfortunately, Aurum had never gotten along with any of the cats except Yang, and she was quite unhappy here. Over the past few days, while showing no outward signs of illness, she stopped eating and drinking and finally faded away Tuesday evening.
We buried her next to Glory, her great-grandmother.
